# 1. Setup Hardware

Welcome to the world of AquaStorm, where seamless industrial control meets modular innovation. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of connecting your AquaStorm Hardware Module and AquaStorm Compute Module to a network switch, enabling effective communication and control of your industrial components.

# What You'll Need

  • AquaStorm Hardware Module (Revision 2)
  • AquaStorm Compute Module (Revision 2)
  • Network Switch (Ethernet)
  • Ethernet Cables
  • DIN Rail (optional)
  • Power Supply (24V MAX)

# Step 1: Setting Up the Hardware Module

  1. Prepare the Hardware Module: Ensure that your AquaStorm Hardware Module is powered and ready for use. Connect your desired hardware components (such as motors, sensors, etc.) to the hardware module's ports.

  2. Max Voltage: Keep in mind that the AquaStorm Hardware Module supports a maximum voltage of 36V. Make sure the components you connect are within this voltage range.

  3. Ethernet Connection: Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your AquaStorm Hardware Module.

  4. Network Switch: Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an available port on your network switch.

  5. DIN Rail (Optional): For organized installation, consider placing the Hardware Module on a DIN rail for secure and efficient mounting.

# Step 2: Configuring the Compute Module

  1. Prepare the Compute Module: Make sure your AquaStorm Compute Module is powered and ready. This module handles the control and management of your industrial components.

  2. Max Voltage: Note that the AquaStorm Compute Module has a maximum voltage rating of 24V. Ensure that the power supply is within this voltage limit.

  3. Ethernet Connection: Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your AquaStorm Compute Module.

  4. Network Switch: Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an available port on the same network switch you connected the Hardware Module to.

  5. DIN Rail (Optional): Just like the Hardware Module, you can also opt to mount the AquaStorm Compute Module on a DIN rail for an organized and streamlined setup.

# Powering On and Verification

  1. Power On: Power on both the AquaStorm Hardware Module and the AquaStorm Compute Module by turning on your power supply. All the Modules will start up automatically.

  2. Network Verification: Check the status LEDs on both modules. They should indicate a successful network connection.

  3. Access Interface: Access the AquaStorm user interface from a device connected to the same network. You should now be able to see and configure your connected hardware components through the intuitive interface provided by the Compute Module.

# Getting Creative

Congratulations! You've successfully connected your AquaStorm Hardware Module and Compute Module to a network switch. If you've placed them on DIN rails, you're well on your way to a neat and efficient setup. Now, unleash your creativity and design intricate industrial control systems that respond to your specific needs.
